When did you first realise you wanted to be an author?

I’ve wanted to be an author since I learned to write.
I began to write short stories in my notebooks when I was around seven.
That's my author origin story, or the short version of it.
(No villain origin story for me.)

What inspires your writing?

Anything.
A song, an event, a poem, a dream, a trip, a memory, nature...
The list is endless.

What do you like to do besides writing?

I am a literature major and a linguistics and education minor,
so a lot of my time is spent studying.
On top of that, I love arts, crafts, and photography.
And obviously, my dogs.
I also love visiting museums and old castles.
I even live next to a medieval castle.

What books would you recommend,
or what are some books you love?

As a child I loved The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis.

As a teen I adored Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.

In high school I enjoyed reading Pet Sematary by Stephen King.

I read The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
in 2021 and loved it!

Stephanie Garber's Once Upon A Broken Heart series also has me hooked!

My more recent favourites are The Marionettes by Katie Wismer
and Wizard's Masquerade by Jay Pellegrin.

And one of my favourite classics is
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.
